He also practiced podiatry privately in San Jose and Los Gatos, California for over twenty years.
Dr. Sgarlato has authored numerous journal articles and the book, A Compendium of Podiatric Biomechanics.
He is founder and chairman of Sgarlato Med, a medical product company devoted to the development and manufacture of surgical implants for feet. A portion of the company’s proceeds is donated to APMA Scholarships and The Foundation for Excellence.
